    Hintergrund & Einordnung

    The Sd.Kfz. 250 was a light armored half-track designed by DEMAG, visually closely related to the larger Sd.Kfz. 251. Introduced in mid-1941, it was initially produced in small numbers due to production bottlenecks. The later "Neu" variant significantly simplified its construction: fewer armor plates, squarer shapes, shorter manufacturing times. The vehicle primarily served as a reconnaissance and transport vehicle for motorized and panzergrenadier units on all theaters of war.
