Product details

Background & context

The Goliath was one of the strangest weapons of the war: a tracked miniature demolition carrier that an engineer steered to the target by cable. From 1942 it appeared on the Eastern Front, later in Normandy and in Warsaw. It was never reliable; the cable snapped or the demolition carrier got stuck in the mud. Snipers and light mortars, by contrast, were part of everyday life in any experienced infantry company.

On the tabletop

Seven resin figures add three support weapons for Bolt Action to your German Veteran Infantry platoon. The sniper team threatens enemy officers and observers. The light mortar puts short-range indirect fire in front of your own rifle platoons. The remote-controlled Goliath, served by three men, goes in against bunkers and heavily fortified positions. Three order dice and bases are included.
