    Hintergrund & Einordnung

    The SdKfz 250/3 and SdKfz 251/3 were radio variants of German half-tracks, equipped with additional radio equipment and antennas for command use. Rommel's famous command vehicle 'Greif' was one of these variants and was frequently seen in German newsreels. Until 1944, these vehicles were mainly deployed on the Eastern Front. The large frame antennas made them easily recognizable targets, which is why many were later replaced by more inconspicuous star antennas.

    Einsatz im Spiel

    This expansion set builds radio vehicles based on the SdKfz 250/3 or 251/3. In-game, it is suitable for command, observer, or scenario roles within mechanized units. The Rommel figure makes it particularly fitting for Afrika Korps or staff representations, without limiting its use to North Africa.
