The StuG III Ausf. G / StuH 42 from Warlord Games is a plastic kit with two build options. The model can be built as a Sturmgeschütz with a 7.5cm gun or as a StuH 42 with a 10.5cm howitzer.

The kit comes unpainted and unassembled and is suitable for German Bolt Action armies of the mid and late war years.

Hintergrund & Einordnung

The StuG III was originally developed as an assault gun for direct infantry support. With more powerful 7.5cm cannons, it later also became an important tank destroyer. The Ausf. G was the most common version and was deployed on many fronts. The StuH 42 complemented the concept with a 10.5cm howitzer for greater explosive power.

Einsatz im Spiel

The StuG III Ausf. G is an inexpensive and effective tank destroyer in the game with a low silhouette. As the StuH 42, it can be more focused on infantry support and explosive power. The lack of a turret demands good positioning and proactive maneuvering. In Bolt Action, Achtung Panzer!, and Chain of Command, it is particularly strong in defensive or supportive roles.
