Product details

Background & context

Achtung Panzer! focuses on armored combat in World War II. The vehicles included represent a heavy German tank group with Tiger I, King Tiger, assault guns, and a fast Puma reconnaissance vehicle. These vehicles fulfill different roles: heavy breakthrough tanks, assault guns for fire support, and rapid reconnaissance. The reference to the Waffen-SS is historically problematic and should be soberly classified due to the role of this organization in the Nazi system.

On the tabletop

The King Tiger and Tiger I stand at the front and take up the exchange of fire with their thick frontal armour. The two StuG III Ausf. G work as a pair from the second line and use their low profile to shoot from cover. The Puma is your fastest vehicle and scouts the flanks. You place the resin crews in the hatches or stand them dismounted next to the vehicles, and with the Tank Ace cards two vehicles get a commander with special abilities. With two heavy hitters at the front, the force plays rather slowly and patiently.
