    Hintergrund & Einordnung

    The Panther was developed as Germany's response to the Soviet T-34. The Ausf. A was built starting in mid-1943 and introduced changes to the cupola, bow machine gun, and other details. With sloped armor and the 7.5cm KwK 42 L/70, the Panther was very dangerous at range. At the same time, the vehicle remained mechanically complex and required intensive maintenance.

    Einsatz im Spiel

    The Panther Ausf. A is a strong combat medium tank in the game with very good anti-tank performance. It is suitable for engaging enemy vehicles at a distance and providing mobile fire support. Its frontal armor is strong, but flanks and objectives must be secured. For Bolt Action, Achtung Panzer!, and Chain of Command, it is a typical main battle tank from 1943 onwards.
