    Hintergrund & Einordnung

    Waffen-SS units were deployed on many fronts in the late war and were sometimes given modern equipment, including assault rifles, anti-tank weapons, and armoured vehicles. The force shown here combines infantry with heavy support and tank components. Historically, the Waffen-SS is inextricably linked to the Nazi regime and numerous war crimes. An objective classification is therefore particularly important, even if the models are used for tabletop scenarios.

    The Waffen-SS Starter Army combines infantry, heavy weapons, anti-tank, and armoured support. Squads tackle mission play and close-range fire, while the PaK 40, Mortar, MMG, StuG III, and Tiger I threaten tougher targets or fortified positions. In Bolt Action and Chain of Command, the set is a late war heavily armed German army selection with critical historical context.
