    This expansion set from Rubicon Models adds two specialized variants to the SdKfz 250 and SdKfz 251 base kits: the SdKfz 250/11 tank destroyer with the conical 2.8 cm sPzB 41, and the SdKfz 251/7 pioneer assault vehicle with bridging ramps. As a bonus, the set includes a standalone sPzB 41 weapon team for use as a dismounted unit.

    Hintergrund & Einordnung

    The SdKfz 250/11 Alte was designed as a light tank hunter and carried the 2.8 cm sPzB 41 taper-bore anti-tank rifle with 168 rounds of ammunition, as well as an MG34 or MG42. The accompanying gun carriage allowed the weapon to be deployed dismounted - typically used by the platoon leader. When tungsten for the armor-piercing ammunition ran out, the sPzB 41 was phased out and new versions were refitted accordingly. Some SdKfz 251/7 pioneer armored vehicles, especially Ausf C variants, also received the sPzB 41. The SdKfz 251/7 was essentially an assault pioneer vehicle with bridge ramps, a reinforced top deck, and additional radio equipment.

    Einsatz im Spiel

    This set combines pioneer and light anti-tank roles for SdKfz 250/11 and 251/7. The sPzB-41 team gives the box a clear anti-tank function, while the halftrack variants provide mobile support. In the game, it's a flexible kit for mechanized lists with special tasks.
