Hintergrund & Einordnung

America's GIs of World War II were considered well-trained, aggressive, and excellently equipped. After the US entered the war in late 1941, they fought in North Africa, Sicily, Italy, and finally in Western Europe until the German surrender. Their standard equipment, including the M1 Garand, BAR, and Bazooka, made them one of the most effective infantry forces of the war. In addition to regular US units, these figures can also be used to represent late-war French or Brazilian units in Italy.

Einsatz im Spiel

This plastic infantry box builds a complete US Army Platoon with M1 Garand, M1A1 Carbine, BAR, and Thompson SMG. In Bolt Action, the GI Platoon is the tactical all-rounder: average stats combined with the strong "Fire and Manoeuvre" special rule and plenty of Order Dice for aggressive advances. With the variable weapon options, each squad can be individually optimised for ranged or assault attacks. In Chain of Command, the platoon reflects the typical US rifle section doctrine.
