Hintergrund & Einordnung

US Rangers and German Grenadiers represent two of the most famous infantry units of World War II - and it is precisely this encounter that is at the heart of this starter set. The US Rangers were established as an elite unit for special operations and fought in North Africa, Italy, and Northwest Europe, among other places. Facing them are the German Grenadiers, the backbone of the Wehrmacht infantry in the late war phase. The set thus depicts a classic infantry battle of the Western Front 1944/45.

Einsatz im Spiel

The Starter Set contains everything needed to play immediately: The introductory missions in the Field Manual guide new players step-by-step through the core mechanics of Bolt Action - from the order dice activation system to cover, morale checks, and close combat. Terrain and a game mat directly provide a structured playing area. Once players have completed the set, they can seamlessly integrate both infantry units into larger armies and expand their collection strategically.
