    Beschreibung

    The M5 Stuart was a further development of the M3 Stuart with a Cadillac twin engine and improved armour. The plastic kit can be built as an M5, M5A1, or E7-7 Mechanized Flamethrower and, according to the manufacturer, is suitable for US, British, Soviet, and Chinese Bolt-Action armies.

    Hintergrund & Einordnung

    The M5 Stuart replaced the Continental aircraft engine of the M3 with a Cadillac power plant in the Stuart concept. The M5A1 variant received an improved armor layout; on the lower hull, the manufacturer states up to 64 mm of armor. Wider hatches and more interior space improved usability for the crew and ammunition stowage. The 37mm cannon was only marginally effective against late German tanks but remained useful against lighter vehicles. With up to three machine guns, the M5 primarily fulfilled its intended reconnaissance role.

    Einsatz im Spiel

    In the game, the M5 Stuart is suitable for fast flanking maneuvers, reconnaissance, and flexible fire support. Light tanks and scout vehicles should utilize their mobility rather than engaging in prolonged frontal duels. In Bolt Action / Achtung Panzer! / Chain of Command, the model complements infantry and heavier vehicles with its speed, mission pressure, and responsiveness. The tags follow the buildable variants and the historical operational profile.
