The German Grenadiers (Winter) Platoon provides 30 plastic infantrymen in winter greatcoats and is universally applicable - from the Blitzkrieg winters of 1939/40 to the Defence of the Reich in 1945. The multi-pose kits allow the construction of rifle squads, MG teams, command models, and forward observers from a single box. Weapon options range from the MP40 to the modern StG44 assault rifle.

Hintergrund & Einordnung

German soldiers fought during the winter months under the harshest climatic conditions of the war - from the Eastern Front to the Ardennes and the snowy mountains of Italy. Wool coats, gloves, and improvised camouflage determined the appearance of Wehrmacht infantry from the first Russian winter of 1941. Only after the catastrophic losses of that winter was special winter equipment, including white camouflage overalls, fur hats, and reversible anoraks, issued on a larger scale. These figures are suitable for all phases of the war and can be built as either Heer or Waffen-SS.

The Winter Platoon provides enough miniatures for a complete infantry platoon in winter gear. The plastic sprues offer numerous weapon and head options for individual squads.
