    Hintergrund & Einordnung

    The German Landsers on the Eastern Front and in Italy's winter campaigns fought under extreme conditions - often without adequate winter equipment and with improvised solutions. The winter uniform with coat and camouflage poncho became the hallmark of these units in the battles for Stalingrad, Kursk, and later in the Ardennes. This starter army depicts a regular army unit that can be deployed on all major winter battlefields of the war.

    Einsatz im Spiel

    The army offers a solid core of infantry, supplemented by flexible support elements. The MMG team and the medium mortar provide long-range firepower, while the Panzer IV, as a versatile battle tank, can threaten both infantry and enemy vehicles. The Opel Blitz transports troops quickly into position. The set is equally suitable for Eastern Front, Ardennes, and Italian scenarios and is an ideal starting point for a German winter army.
