    Product details

    Background & context

Italy built the Autoblinda from 1941 as a colonial and reconnaissance vehicle: four-wheel steering, a second driving position facing the rear, high road speed. In North Africa and the Balkans it was usually moving faster than anything hunting it. The AB43 came so late that Italy got hardly any benefit from it. After the armistice in September 1943 the vehicles rolled on under the German flag, above all in Italy and Yugoslavia.

    On the tabletop

This plastic kit builds either an AB41 or the later AB43. In Bolt Action these armoured cars let you form a fast armoured platoon. With a light autocannon and the reconnaissance special rule they harass enemy infantry and light vehicles. You can also assign the AB43 to your German army, because after the 1943 armistice the Wehrmacht kept using it, mainly in Italy and Yugoslavia.
