Hintergrund & Einordnung

The Paracadutisti of the Regio Esercito were among the most effective units of the Italian armed forces in World War II. Units such as the Folgore and Nembo Divisions fought in North Africa with remarkable tenacity, while the X Arditi assault troops were designated for particularly demanding special operations. Their compact armament was characteristic - in addition to the short Carcano carbine, they used the Beretta M38 and the Lanciafiamme 41 as a compact flamethrower. The distinctive uniforms and unique equipment profile reflected the ambition to field mobile and independently operating elite troops.

Einsatz im Spiel

The Paracadutisti are excellent for aggressive shock troop tactics on the tabletop - their diverse weapon options allow for specialized unit compositions, from flamethrower teams to SMG-heavy assault squads. The set enables the assembly of a complete platoon, including a command unit and supporting weapon teams. Especially in scenarios concerning North Africa and the Italian theater, the Paracadutisti offer a thematically coherent and tactically versatile elite infantry. The option to choose between regular paratrooper squads and Arditi assault troops provides additional flexibility in army building.
