Product details

Background & context

Kradschützen were the forward eyes of German formations: they drove ahead of the tanks, reported enemy positions and secured flanks before the heavy units moved up. In the Afrika Korps this job fell mainly to machines from BMW and Zündapp, which coped with heat, dust and sand surprisingly well. The sidecar had room for an MG or a second man, but it also made the combination an easy target in open terrain.

On the tabletop

The motorcycle and sidecar carries two men of your Afrika Korps quickly across the open desert. In Bolt Action it rides ahead of the tanks, reports where the enemy is and secures a flank until heavier units move up. Because the riders are separate, you can position driver and passenger freely and choose their heads with the Figure Head system. In open ground the combination is an easy target, so keep it behind cover wherever you can.
