    The SdKfz 234 was Germany's most versatile eight-wheeled armoured car of World War II - this kit from Rubicon Models can be built in four different variants, from a light reconnaissance vehicle to the feared anti-tank version with a long 7.5cm Pak.

    Hintergrund & Einordnung

    The SdKfz 234 was a family of heavy eight-wheeled armored reconnaissance vehicles that replaced the older six-wheeled models from 1943 onwards. Powered by an air-cooled Tatra V12 diesel engine, the vehicles possessed good range and cross-country mobility - crucial characteristics for reconnaissance missions. The four variants covered a broad spectrum of tasks: from enemy reconnaissance and infantry support to direct anti-tank defense. Especially the 234/2 "Puma" with its 5cm cannon in an enclosed turret was considered one of the best reconnaissance vehicles of the war.

    The SdKfz 234 set covers multiple heavy armored car variants. The 234/2 and 234/3 options provide mobile reconnaissance and fire support, while the 234/4 variant offers clear anti-tank capability. In-game, the set is ideal for late German reconnaissance forces with high speed and variable armament.
