    Hintergrund & Einordnung

    The Ausf. J was the last production variant of the Panzer IV. It was simplified to facilitate production and maintenance under the conditions of the late war years. A distinctive feature was the elimination of the electric turret traverse on many vehicles. The Panzer IV remained an important backbone of German armored forces until 1945.
