    Hintergrund & Einordnung

    The Panzer IV evolved from a support vehicle into the most important German medium tank. The Ausf. F2 and later variants were fitted with long 7.5cm guns and were significantly better at engaging enemy tanks. Ausf. G and H dominated the mid- and late-war years. Skirts were introduced as additional protection against hollow charges and anti-tank rifles.

    The Panzer IV Ausf. F1/F2/G/H is a particularly flexible platform for German armies in the game. Earlier configurations support infantry, while later variants with the long 7.5cm gun provide effective anti-tank capabilities. This allows the same kit to be used in early, mid, and late-war scenarios. It fits into many German lists in Bolt Action, Achtung Panzer!, and Chain of Command.
