    Hintergrund & Einordnung

    The Panzer IV Ausf. D and E are among the early variants of the series. They initially served primarily to support other tanks and infantry with a short-barreled 7.5cm cannon. In the early campaigns, they were deployed in several theaters of war. Later developments made the Panzer IV the central medium battle tank of the Wehrmacht.

    Einsatz im Spiel

    Der Panzer IV Ausf. D oder E ist im Spiel ein früher mittlerer Panzer mit Schwerpunkt auf Infanterieunterstützung. Die kurzrohrige 7,5cm-Kanone ist nützlich gegen Stellungen und weiche Ziele, aber weniger stark gegen modernere Panzer. Durch die DAK-Option eignet sich das Modell auch für Nordafrika-Armeen. In frühen und mittleren Kriegsszenarien ergänzt er Panzer III und Infanterie sehr gut.
