The M4A2 Sherman / Sherman III is a 1:56 scale plastic kit with 104 parts across 6 sprues. The kit can be built as a standard M4A2 or a British Sherman III and includes both low and high 75mm turret variants.

The twin GM6046 diesel variant was particularly important for Soviet Lend-Lease deliveries and British Commonwealth units.

Hintergrund & Einordnung

The M4A2 Sherman used a welded hull and the GM6046 twin diesel. Rubicon describes it as the preferred Sherman version for Soviet Lend-Lease deliveries because the USSR used diesel tanks. The M4A2 was designated Sherman III by the British. The variant saw only limited US deployment, including with the US Marine Corps. According to Rubicon, M4A2 variants were produced in six factories from April 1942 to July 1945.

In the game, the M4A2 Sherman / Sherman III forms an armored combat unit for direct fire support and movement towards mission objectives. The tank can accompany infantry, engage enemy vehicles, and exert pressure on key terrain sections. In Bolt Action / Achtung Panzer! / Chain of Command, it is a flexible component for tank or combined arms combat groups.
