    Hintergrund & Einordnung

    The Willys MB was a four-wheel-drive 1/4-ton utility vehicle of World War II and became one of the most recognizable Allied military vehicles. Rubicon describes it as an early mass-produced US military vehicle for passenger and cargo transport. The vehicles were built to a standardized design and equipped with features such as 6.00x16 tires, a jerry can holder, a blackout light system, and radio suppression, among others. For Commonwealth forces, Jeep variants were particularly important as liaison, reconnaissance, and special forces vehicles.
