    Hintergrund & Einordnung

    The Churchill was one of the best-known British tanks of World War II, despite its problematic use in the Dieppe Raid. Initially underarmed, it was progressively up-gunned and remained popular with its crews for its cross-country performance. Named after Winston Churchill, the vehicle proved its strength in North Africa at Longstop Hill, among other places. The kit's variants range from Mk III and Mk IV to Mk V, Mk VI, North Africa 75, and AVRE.
