This plastic expansion set adds the standardized Einheitskoffer box body to Rubicon base kits of the SdKfz 305 Opel Blitz or SdKfz 3a Maultier. It includes the box body and optional detail parts such as roof ventilation, rear ladder, fuel cans, and spare wheel.

Hintergrund & Einordnung

The "Einheitskoffer" (standardized box body) was a standardized box body for German trucks such as the Opel Blitz (SdKfz 305) and the Maultier (SdKfz 3a). The construction, made of plywood and hardboard, was identical across all vehicle types in terms of dimensions, window and door positions, and storage boxes. This standardization made it the most versatile vehicle variant of the Wehrmacht - used as a workshop, radio vehicle, ambulance, field kitchen, or cipher office.
