D was the most produced German half-track of World War II - this kit can be built as a pioneer armoured vehicle (251/5), an ambulance armoured vehicle (251/8) or as a weapon carrier with 3.7 cm PaK 36 (251/10). Three specialised variants from a single plastic kit with 64 parts on 3 sprues.

    Hintergrund & Einordnung

    The SdKfz 251 was developed by Hanomag and was the most produced armoured half-track vehicle of the Wehrmacht - over 15,000 examples in at least 22 variants. Originally designed as a protected troop transporter for Panzergrenadiere, specialized versions for pioneer tasks, casualty transport, anti-tank, and anti-aircraft roles quickly emerged. By friend and foe alike, it was simply called the "Hanomag". The Ausf. D, produced from early 1943, simplified the design with a single-piece sloped rear section, which significantly reduced manufacturing time.

    Einsatz im Spiel

    The 3-in-1 set covers multiple SdKfz 251D special roles. The Pioneer Armored Vehicle supports special tasks, the Armored Ambulance scenario and evacuation roles, and the 251/10 option light anti-tank. In-game, the set is particularly valuable when a list is intended to represent not only transport but also specialized support.
