    Product details

    Background & context

The StuG III Ausf. G was the last and most produced version of the StuG III series. It was used as an assault gun and tank destroyer, combining a low silhouette with effective frontal armament. The StuH 42 option represents the use of a 10.5cm howitzer for infantry support. Such vehicles were present on almost all German fronts.

    On the tabletop

The StuG III Ausf. G fought from late 1942 to the end of the war and was the most widely used German tank destroyer. Without a turret, you position it so that the gun already faces the direction the enemy will come from, and wait in cover. Early, mid or late production, box or Saukopf mantlet and removable skirts set the period. As a StuH 42 with the 10.5 cm howitzer, you build support against positions and buildings instead.
