    Product details

    Background & context

The Panther Ausf. G was the later main variant of the Panther series. It featured a redesigned hull and simplified manufacturing characteristics. The tank remained heavily armed and well-protected from the front, but continued to be maintenance-intensive. It was deployed on several fronts from 1944 until the end of the war.

    On the tabletop

From March 1944 only the Ausf. G was produced, and more were built of it than of any other Panther version. In open country you use it to engage enemy tanks at long range, while at close quarters and from the side it is vulnerable. Accompanying infantry therefore keeps enemies in buildings and hedgerows off its back. Air coolers and exhaust can be built in different versions, and the side skirts are optional.
