Product details

Background & context

From 1941 the German Fallschirmjäger fought almost exclusively as ground troops, with no jump but often as a fire brigade on burning sectors of the front. Because they were regularly cut off from heavy support in that role, the squads carried their own anti-tank and assault weapons with them. In the winter of 1944/45 this showed especially clearly in the Ardennes: Panzerschreck, flamethrower and sniper rifle decided actions which, in the deep snow, shrank to a few hundred metres.

On the tabletop

For Fallschirmjäger in the Ardennes this box provides three weapons teams in heavy winter clothing. The Panzerschreck threatens Allied tanks, while the flamethrower belongs in engineer platoons and sets buildings and positions ablaze. The sniper team shoots with a scoped FG 42 and targets enemy officers. Six resin figures, bases and three order dice reinforce your Bolt Action Fallschirmjäger in this way.
