Background & context

Picton führte bei Waterloo die 5. Division und fiel, als er einen französischen Angriff auf den Kamm bei Mont-Saint-Jean abfing. Er war der ranghöchste Offizier der Koalition, der an diesem Tag starb. Wellington, seit dem Halbinselkrieg Feldmarschall, machte Waterloo zum Schlusspunkt einer Laufbahn mit über sechzig Schlachten und wurde danach Botschafter und zweimal Premierminister. Zwei sehr ungleiche Männer, die sich an diesem einen Junitag denselben Hügel teilten.

On the tabletop

Wellington comes in two versions, one in full dress and one at rest, together with Sir Thomas Picton in civilian clothes, because his uniform baggage never arrived. In Black Powder Wellington leads your British-Allied army at Waterloo as commander-in-chief, while Picton commands his 5th Division. Picton fell on 18 June 1815 while repelling a French push onto the ridge at Mont-Saint-Jean, a fitting moment for a scenario.
