    Product details

    Background & context

    On the tabletop

When the levy of March 1793 reached the Vendée, the peasants took up the weapons they had: scythes, flails and pitchforks. With 20 such rebels, an officer, a musician, a standard bearer and a priest, you can field a unit of the Catholic and Royal Army in Black Powder. It has little to offer in a firefight, so you lead it under cover close to the Republicans and seek hand-to-hand combat. Vendéan musketeers give it covering fire.
