Hintergrund & Einordnung

Rivers and waterways were, in many eras, among the most important natural obstacles on the battlefield. They influenced march routes, lines of sight, bridge crossings, and the selection of defensive positions. For Napoleonic, Civil War, and World War II scenarios, water obstacles are equally plausible because they channel movement and force attacks on crossings. As a scalable terrain feature, this set is deliberately not limited to a single army or nation.

Einsatz im Spiel

The river sections create natural obstacles and make crossings important tactical points. They are suitable for scenarios where bridges, fords or bottlenecks need to be held, captured or bypassed. The set is scale-neutral and remains flexible for Epic Battles, Black Powder, Bolt Action and other historical systems.
