    Background & context

    Eine US-Infanteriedivision führte drei Bataillone mit je zwölf 105mm-Rohren, dazu Feuerleitstellen, die eine Beobachtung binnen Minuten in eine Salve umsetzten. Im Winter 1944/45 machte genau das den Unterschied: Während deutsche Angriffsspitzen in den verschneiten Ardennen steckenblieben, schoss die amerikanische Artillerie weiter, weil Munition und Funknetz hielten.

    On the tabletop

    In the winter of 1944 the American artillery in the Ardennes kept firing while German attacks bogged down in the snow. With this M2A1 and its winter crew you can recreate that in Bolt Action. As a howitzer it fires in an arc over woods and hills at positions and advancing infantry. Set it up well to the rear and use it to prepare the attack of your GIs. Four metal figures in greatcoats and fur caps form the crew.
