Product details

Background & context

The M42 jump suit was the first uniform tailored specifically for parachutists: reinforced elbows and knees, huge slanted pockets for ammunition and explosives. What a squad was armed with was often decided only shortly before the jump. Garand, carbine, Thompson, BAR: everything was mixed, because behind enemy lines you had to manage for days without resupply. That is why two Airborne squads rarely look alike, and it is exactly what this kit delivers.

On the tabletop

The 30 paratroopers in M42 jump uniforms cover almost every unit of an American Airborne list for D-Day in Bolt Action. You can build Paratrooper and Pathfinder squads, engineers, an officer, a medic and a forward observer. For support there is a bazooka team against vehicles and a sniper team with the M1903A4. The M1919 Browning gives a squad a light machine gun, and the heads with Mohawk haircuts represent the Filthy Thirteen.
