American paratroopers parachuted behind German lines on the night of June 6, 1944, forming the spearhead of the Normandy invasion. In their distinctive M42 jump suits, they fought as well-trained veterans, relying on light mobility and intense firepower. The set allows for the construction of various units - from simple Paratrooper Squads, Pathfinders, and Engineer squads, to specialized support teams. The variety of weapons reflects the actual equipment practices of the US Airborne, who were flexibly equipped depending on availability and mission.

Einsatz im Spiel

The US Airborne D-Day Platoon is the standard squad for the 82nd and 101st Airborne Divisions from June 1944 - equipped with M42 jump suits, M1 Garand, M1A1 Carbines, and Thompson SMGs. In Bolt Action, this Platoon is the core unit for Normandy, Market Garden, and Ardennes lists, featuring Veteran stats, Tough Fighters, and Stubborn. The jump poses and figures laden with jump gear capture the iconic look of the Pathfinders and paratroopers.
