Background & context

Am Morgen des 13. August 1704 stiegen die drei Befehlshaber der franko-bayerischen Armee auf den Kirchturm von Blindheim und stritten über das Vorgehen. Marsin und der Kurfürst wollten den Alliierten den Übergang über den Nebel verwehren, Tallard wollte sie herüberlassen und dann mit dem Bach im Rücken stellen. Tallard setzte sich durch. Am Abend war seine Armee zerschlagen und er selbst in britischer Gefangenschaft.

On the tabletop

This vignette shows Tallard, Marsin and Elector Max Emanuel arguing over the battle plan, and it leads your Franco-Bavarian army at Blenheim in Black Powder or Pike & Shotte. Place the group behind your lines as the high command or use it as an objective in a scenario. Historically the three argued in the church tower on the morning of 13 August 1704 over whether to let the Allies cross the Nebel; Tallard got his way and was a prisoner by evening. The figures are cast in Warlord Resin Plus.
