    Background & context

    Tecumseh baute ab 1805 vom Ort Prophetstown aus ein Bündnis, das die Völker nördlich des Ohio zusammenhalten und weitere Landabtretungen verhindern sollte. Sein Bruder Tenskwatawa lieferte die religiöse Begründung: Rückkehr zur alten Lebensweise, Abkehr von allem, was die Siedler mitgebracht hatten. 1811 verlor Tenskwatawa in Tecumsehs Abwesenheit das Gefecht bei Tippecanoe, der Ort wurde niedergebrannt. Tecumseh fiel 1813 auf britischer Seite an der Thames.

    On the tabletop

    Tecumseh and his brother Tenskwatawa, the Prophet, lead your alliance of the peoples north of the Ohio in Black Powder. Place Tecumseh at the head of your warriors as war leader and Tenskwatawa as the spiritual leader who holds the group together. Fitting scenarios are the fight at Tippecanoe in 1811, which Tenskwatawa lost in Tecumseh's absence, or the battle of the Thames in 1813, where Tecumseh fell on the British side.
