    Background & context

    On the tabletop

In heavy greatcoats and fur hats, these four command figures form the headquarters of your Red Army for games in the snow of the Eastern Front in Bolt Action. Your officer leads the platoon with his attendants, drives the squads on with orders and holds them together at critical moments. After Stalin's purges, inexperienced officers often stepped up in 1941 and carried out orders to the letter; only during the war did a more experienced leadership emerge. You can represent either with these figures.
