    Beschreibung

    The Sherman Firefly Vc is a British Sherman conversion with a 17-pdr anti-tank gun, used in British Armoured Platoons from D-Day onwards. The plastic kit depicts one vehicle and includes a decal sheet with various unit markings. This makes the model particularly suitable for late Western Front scenarios against German Panther and Tiger tanks.

    Hintergrund & Einordnung

    The Sherman Firefly was a British modification of the M4 Sherman, mounting the powerful 17-pdr anti-tank gun. It appeared in British armoured units from D-Day onwards and was particularly valued for its ability to engage Panthers and Tigers at normal combat ranges. German tank and anti-tank crews were instructed to target Firefly tanks preferentially. By late 1944, the number of Fireflies in units had increased significantly.

    Einsatz im Spiel

    In the game, the Sherman Firefly Vc is an armoured combat unit for direct fire support and moving on mission objectives. The tank can escort infantry, engage enemy vehicles, and put pressure on key terrain sections. In Bolt Action / Achtung Panzer! / Chain of Command, it is a flexible component for armoured or combined battle groups.
