Hintergrund & Einordnung

After the Peace of Tilsit, Prussia was forced to severely limit its army. The Krümper system helped to train more men than the formal troop strength suggested. When Prussia re-entered the war against France in 1813, numerous reserve battalions and reserve infantry regiments were formed. This reserve infantry played an important role in the rapid reconstruction of the Prussian field army during the Wars of Liberation.

Einsatz im Spiel

Prussian Reserve Infantry represents the rapid rebuilding of the army during the Wars of Liberation. In Black Powder, they are suitable as regular infantry mass for Prussian brigades and larger battles. In Sharp Practice or Sharpe's Rifles, the box offers many models for smaller reserve formations, outposts, and scenarios from 1813-1815.
