    Hintergrund & Einordnung

    The Panzer II was developed in the 1930s as a light interim tank. With a 20mm cannon and machine gun, it was numerous in the early campaigns. Against stronger opponents, its armament was soon insufficient, but it remained in use in supporting roles, for reconnaissance, and in secondary theaters of war. Its chassis later also served for other vehicles.

    Einsatz im Spiel

    The Panzer II is a light tank in the game, suitable for early war scenarios, reconnaissance, and support. Its 20mm cannon poses a threat to infantry, softskins, and very light vehicles, but is weak against medium tanks. It is well-suited for securing flanks and quickly reaching mission objectives. In Bolt Action and Chain of Command, it should not be forced into frontal tank duels.
