Product details

Background & context

In every young town in North America the general store was the first permanent building after the church, often even before it. Here you got flour, nails, cartridges and credit until the harvest, along with the post, the newspaper and the local gossip. In the Civil War passing troops made a point of looting such shops, and in the West they became the scene of hold-ups and shoot-outs. On the table a store turns two houses into a town with a main street.

On the tabletop

A general store belongs in every North American town of the 19th century, and this 1:56 scale plastic kit provides exactly that. In Civil War scenarios, place the store by the road as a supply objective that passing troops loot or defend. In Wild West skirmishes it becomes the scene of a hold-up, with small groups fighting over the doorway and windows. Walls and roof are included.
