    Product details

    Background & context

    On the tabletop

The National Guard was formed in July 1789 from armed Paris citizens under Lafayette, and 20 marching guardsmen with their leaders let you field it in Black Powder. Such battalions took the field from 1792 alongside the Republic's volunteers. You use them as a second line, to garrison towns or to protect supplies. The blue, white and red cockade is their mark of recognition.
