Background & context

Der French and Indian War von 1754 bis 1763 war der nordamerikanische Teil des Siebenjährigen Krieges. Briten und Franzosen fochten ihn kaum in offener Schlachtordnung aus, sondern an Flüssen, entlang von Waldpfaden und vor Forts wie William Henry. Beide Seiten hingen dabei von indianischen Verbündeten ab, deren eigene Interessen sie nur bedingt steuern konnten. James Fenimore Coopers Roman von 1826 hat das Bild vom Kampf im Unterholz bis heute geprägt.

On the tabletop

Based on James Fenimore Cooper's novel, these six figures bring the fighting in the North American forests into your Black Powder games. They are not a unit for the battle line but a scene or a small group for fights in the undergrowth, for example as an escort on the way to a fort such as William Henry. The French and Indian War of 1754 to 1763 was rarely decided in open battle, but along rivers and forest trails and in front of forts.
