The King Tiger is a 1:56 plastic kit from Warlord Games for Bolt Action and Achtung Panzer. Included are a heavy Tiger II with turret options, tank commander, instructions, decals and damage markers.

The model is supplied unpainted and unassembled and is suitable for late German tank units on the Eastern and Western Fronts.

Hintergrund & Einordnung

The Tiger II, also known as the King Tiger, was a German heavy tank of the late war period. It combined strong sloped armor with the long 8.8cm KwK 43 and was very dangerous at long range. However, its high weight, fuel consumption, and technical limitations restricted its operational utility. It was issued to heavy tank battalions of the Army and Waffen-SS starting in 1944.

Einsatz im Spiel

The King Tiger is a heavy breakthrough tank in the game, featuring very high firepower and strong frontal armor. It controls long lines of fire and can reliably threaten enemy tanks at range. Its high cost and limited mobility demand clear mission objectives and flank protection. For Bolt Action, Achtung Panzer!, and Chain of Command, it is a typical Late-War centerpiece.
