Product details

Background & context

On the tabletop

As reinforcements for a regiment or as a small unit of their own, this blister gives you three French gendarmes in plate armour. They represent the compagnies d'ordonnance, the standing cavalry of the French kings that rode into the Italian Wars. In Pike & Shotte you hold them in reserve until an enemy unit starts to waver, then lead the charge with the lance. For games around Fornovo, Marignano or Pavia they are the elite of your horse.
