Product details

Background & context

On the tabletop

Nine gendarmes in plate armour and three mounted command figures form a full regiment of French heavy cavalry for the Italian Wars in Pike & Shotte. With lances levelled it delivers a closed charge against a wavering formation or an open flank. Against arquebusiers behind ditches and hedges, however, the lance rarely got through, as Bicocca and Pavia showed. So let your infantry and artillery prepare the way first.
