Hintergrund & Einordnung

The Bersaglieri were considered the elite infantry of the Regio Esercito - known for their characteristic helmets with black capercaillie feathers and their training in rapid, offensive combat. During World War II, they fought in France, North Africa, the Balkans, and on the Eastern Front. The Semovente 75/18 was the most powerful fighting vehicle of the early Italian armored units and formed the backbone of armored support until the middle of the war.

Einsatz im Spiel

The starter army offers a tactically balanced foundation: The Bersaglieri infantry is suitable for aggressive advances and quickly seizing objectives, while MMG and mortars slow down enemy advances. The 20mm Flak provides air defense and can also threaten light vehicles. The Semovente 75/18 delivers armored firepower at medium range - alternatively, built as an M13/40, a classic medium tank is available.
