Product details

Background & context

The Breda 20/65 Modello 1935 was intended for two roles from the outset: high against aircraft, flat against infantry and thinly armoured targets. It armed Autosahariana lorries and AB41 armoured cars and so saw service right across the Italian army. After the end of Operation Compass in early 1941, so many guns fell into British hands that the British went on using them themselves, all the way to the Long Range Desert Group.

On the tabletop

The Breda 20/65 engages both aircraft and targets on the ground. In Bolt Action it shields your Bersaglieri from air attack while keeping infantry in the open and thinly armoured vehicles under fire. The same weapon armed Autosahariana trucks and AB41 armoured cars, so it sits well alongside those vehicles in your list. Three metal Bersaglieri crew the gun.
