Product details

Background & context

Highland regiments were specifically raised in the 18th century for British deployments in North America. FantasyWelt also names the Black Watch as a well-known example of Highland troops in the French and Indian War. These soldiers had to adapt to woodland warfare, reconnaissance missions, and fighting against French and Indigenous adversaries. Their weaponry and appearance, with musket, pistol, broadsword, and dirk, made them distinctive troops within the British army.

On the tabletop

Twelve metal Highlanders bring the Scottish regiments of the French and Indian War into your British army for Black Powder. In the forests of North America they fought with the musket from 1756, but in close combat they also turned to broadsword and dirk. Field them beside other British line infantry and use them where close combat decides the fight.
