Product details

Background & context

On the tabletop

Frontiersmen with long rifle and tomahawk served both sides in the war for North America as scouts, messengers and sharpshooters. Their rifled weapons reached further than a smoothbore musket, but loaded more slowly and took no bayonet. That is why the six metal figures fight from the undergrowth in Black Powder rather than in a closed line. You place them ahead of your own front so they can fire on advancing units while still at a distance.
