    Background & context

    On the tabletop

With an officer, two standard bearers and a musician you put the command group on your Highlander regiment for the French and Indian War in Black Powder. With them you can pick out your Highlanders in the fighting and always know where the colours are. The model is the 78th Regiment, Fraser's Highlanders, raised in 1757, which fought at Louisbourg and before Quebec. In the field, though, the officers' scarlet coats with gold trim were usually worn plainer.
